Newly released from Yamax, the Japanese company that manufactures the world's most accurate pedometers, is the Yamax DigiWalker CW-701 Pedometer.
This pedometer is the latest generation in a long and very successful line of pedometers, known around the world for their accuracy.
The Little Brother of the CW-701 is the SW-200, which is a basic, entry-level step counter. Many people love it just for the simplicity (just one button to reset the step count), while everyone that uses it counts on its reliability.
In the Yamax DigiWalker CW-701 Pedometer, the accuracy is no less; in fact, its even better. Yamax is bound by Japanese regulatory authorities, which declare a pedometer's accuracy must be within plus or minus 3%. That is very accurate.
The Yamax DigiWalker CW-701 Pedometer not only counts steps, but measures distance (in miles), activity time, calories burned, and has a clock. It has two levels of memory, beyond your daily step count which is automatically reset at midnight: there is a seven-day memory and a two-week memory.
The seven-day memory shows you by day, for your past seven days, your step count, calorie burn, distance, and activity time.
The weekly memory gives you weekly totals for those same statistics for the past two weeks.
You don't need to worry now about writing down your steps every day (which yes, you should be doing). You can do it once a week and you will be just fine.
The dual-line display is also an upgrade over previous Yamax pedometers, as it shows you more information and requires less button punching to get at the data.
Most importantly, there are upgrades to the internal mechanism which make this unit more reliable and more accurate than any previous Yamax pedometers.
